6 ways to help increase App Traffic

App Traffic is important, but it doesn’t have to be time-consuming, difficult, or expensive. At AppNotch, we do everything possible to make everything app-related more affordable and much easier than one would expect. We believe that your success is ours too, and want your app to get many views, downloads, great ratings.

Here are 6 tips to help your app get more traffic and downloads:

Put Your Name in Your Title
If you are a local business then your name should be the name of your app. EX: Don’s Donuts
If you’re a virtual business then you should use a keyword in your app. EX: Ship Me Donuts

Signage, Signage, Signage
Again, for businesses with physical locations. Put QR codes and/or how to find your app on your menus, business cards, walls, handouts, newspaper. Also, make sure to give them a real good reason to download your app.
EX: Want to know when the next wine-tasting will be? Go to your appstore and search for Woodcreek Winery, then download our free app! Who knows, we might even have some coupons in there. 🙂

App Store Search Engine
Optimize the chances of your app being found in app store searches by making sure your app has proper metadata, good keywords and a detailed description. If you’re a local business, put your location in the beginning of your description so people know right away it’s the correct app. EX: Don’s Donuts located in St. Louis, MO

Change Your Digital Signature
Add links to your app in your email signature, and use the signature when you post to forums or comment on articles.

Use Your Social Network
Post info about your app and links to it to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Google+, Instagram, etc.

Add a Share Button to your App
So your visitors can easily rate and share your app with their network.

Even though #1 and #5 above are things you’ll continue to do, you’ll be amazed at how it gets even easier. Once your app has a few good reviews, a favorable rating, and a few dozen downloads, others become more likely to join in.
